New Roofs

A roof only gets one honest lifespan, and once it's past it, patching the same three spots every winter stops being a repair and starts being a way of paying for a new roof in instalments — just without ever actually getting one. When a roof has reached that point, or a structure needs a roof for the first time, we install complete pitched and tiled systems built to handle everything the Lancashire and Greater Manchester weather can throw at a building over the following decades.

That means a full tear-off where needed, an inspection of the timber underneath before a single new tile goes near it, a breathable membrane correctly lapped and taped, battens set to the right gauge for the tile profile, and ridge and eave ventilation fitted so the roof space itself doesn't become the next problem three years later. A roof that merely looks finished on handover day and a roof that's actually built correctly can be visually identical — the difference only shows up ten or fifteen years down the line, which is exactly why we don't cut corners on the parts nobody will ever inspect.
