Is a drone survey weather dependent?
Yes — we need reasonably calm, clear conditions to get usable footage. If the weather isn't cooperating on the day, we'll simply rearrange rather than fly in poor conditions and hand over a disappointing result.
How long does the whole process take?
The flight itself is usually done within 30–60 minutes on site, depending on the size and complexity of the roof. You'll typically have your photos and written summary within a couple of days.
Do I actually get to keep the photos and video?
Yes, the full set of imagery is yours to keep, not just a summary — useful if you need to pass it on to a solicitor, insurer, or another contractor.
Can this be used for an insurance claim or house purchase?
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons people book a survey. The photos and report give you independent, dated evidence of the roof's condition.
Does a survey cost anything if I don't go ahead with any work?
