About North Point

A roofing company built on showing up and doing the job properly

North Point Roofing Ltd is a Lancashire-based roofing and plastering contractor working across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Here's who we are, how we work, and a look at the jobs we've carried out.

Our story

Roofing, kept straightforward

North Point Roofing was set up around a straightforward frustration with how much of the roofing trade actually operates: vague estimates instead of proper quotes, work handed off to whichever subcontractor is available that week, and a homeowner left chasing someone for answers once the scaffolding is up. We do it differently. When you call North Point, you're speaking to the people who will inspect your roof, quote the job, carry out the work, and stand behind it afterwards — not a call centre passing your details on to a tradesman you'll meet for the first time on the day.

We're based at Rhoden Top in Oswaldtwistle, right in the heart of Hyndburn, and that local footing shapes how we work. Roofing is a trade where the details actually matter — the way a roof is built and the problems it develops are shaped by the weather it sits under and the era it was built in. A Victorian terrace in Blackburn holds water differently to a 1990s estate on the edge of Bolton, and a flat-roofed extension in Burnley needs a different eye again. Working a small, defined patch means we've seen the roofline of nearly every kind of property across the region, and we bring that knowledge to every inspection rather than treating each job as a blank slate.

What we offer has grown to cover the whole roof, not just part of it: new roofs and full re-roofs, roof repairs and emergency call-outs, flat roofing, fascias, soffits and guttering, drone roof surveys, and plastering. The point of covering all of it under one roof — no pun intended — is that a job touching three of those things still only involves one phone call, one quote, and one team turning up. You're not left coordinating between a roofer, a guttering firm and a plasterer separately, chasing three invoices and three sets of excuses if something doesn't line up.

None of that means much without the basics being right, so we treat those as non-negotiable: every job is covered by proper trade insurance, every quote is itemised in writing before any work is booked in, and every property is left clean and tidy at the end of each day — not just at the end of the job. It's not glamorous work, but it's the difference between a roof that's fixed and a roof that's fixed properly, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every property we touch, whether that's a single slipped tile or a full commercial flat roof overhaul.

What we stand for

Built on the boring things done consistently

Roofing is not complicated — it is detail work performed at height, in weather, by people who care whether it holds. This is what that looks like in practice.

Straight talking, every time

You get an honest answer, not a sales pitch — including when the honest answer is that your roof still has good years left in it.

Our own tradesmen, start to finish

The people who inspect your roof and quote the job are the same people who carry it out. Nothing is handed off to a subcontractor you've never met.

Fully insured, properly accountable

Every job is covered by proper trade insurance, and every quote is itemised in writing, so you know exactly what's being done and what it costs before anything is booked in.

A property left as we found it

Old materials and debris are cleared as we go, not left in a skip on your drive for a fortnight after the job's finished.

Where we work

Based in Oswaldtwistle, working right across the region

Close enough for a same-week visit, not a contractor who's driven in from three counties over. We cover the towns below regularly, and we're happy to travel for the right job if you're just outside them.

Questions

Before you get in touch

A few things people usually ask once they've read about us and looked through the gallery.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full new roof?

It depends on the age of the roof and how widespread the damage is. A localised issue — a few slipped tiles, a damaged section of flashing — is usually a straightforward repair. If there's granule loss, sagging or leaks appearing in multiple places, it's often more cost-effective to replace the roof outright. We'll always give you an honest recommendation, including telling you when a repair is the right call.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes — every quote is free and comes with no obligation. We'll assess the roof, talk through what it needs, and give you a clear, itemised price before any work is booked in.

What is a drone roof survey and why would I need one?

It's an inspection carried out using a drone fitted with a high-resolution camera, so we can examine every part of the roof — including hard-to-reach valleys and chimney stacks — without scaffolding or anyone climbing a ladder. It's useful if you're buying a property, making an insurance claim, or just want to know the condition of a roof you can't easily inspect yourself.

Do you work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester?

Yes, we cover Oswaldtwistle, Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Preston, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Wigan, Manchester and the surrounding areas. If you're just outside this list, get in touch — we're happy to travel for the right job.
