Why North Point

Built on the boring things done consistently

Roofing is not complicated — it is detail work performed at height, in weather, by people who care whether it holds. We hire for that and we pay for that.

Our own tradesmen, every job

The people who quote your roof are the people who carry out the work — nothing handed off to a subcontractor you've never met.

Clear, itemised quotes

You'll know exactly what's included and what it costs before any work is booked in — no vague estimates, no surprise extras.

Local knowledge

Based in Oswaldtwistle and familiar with the roofs, weather and building styles across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

A property left tidy

Debris and old materials cleared as we go, so you're not left with a mess to deal with once we're gone.

How it works

Five steps, no surprises in between

You always know what happens next, who is coming and what it costs before anyone touches the roof — and what happens after they leave.

  1. Day 1

    01. Free inspection

We walk the roof, photograph every finding and map moisture where we suspect it. Usually within 48 hours of your call.

  2. Day 2

    02. Itemized proposal

An emailed, line-item quote with material grades, quantities and a firm price. Valid for 30 days, no expiring discounts.

  3. Day 3 – 10

    03. Schedule & prep

We confirm the weather window, stage materials the afternoon before and tarp everything that needs protecting.

  4. 2 – 5 days

    04. Build & sign off

Tear-off, rebuild and cleanup, done properly rather than rushed. Most new roofs are completed within 2–5 days, depending on the size, complexity and weather. We walk the finished roof with you before we invoice.

  5. Ongoing

    05. Aftercare & warranty

You get a written workmanship guarantee on top of the manufacturer's warranty, and we're a phone call away if anything needs a look afterwards.

Where we work

Lancashire and Greater Manchester, covered properly

Based in Oswaldtwistle and working right across the surrounding boroughs — close enough for a same-week visit, not a contractor who's driven in from three counties over.

Roofing is a trade where local knowledge actually matters — the way a roof is built and the problems it develops are shaped by the weather it sits under, and the terraced streets of Blackburn call for a different eye than a 1990s estate on the edge of Bolton. We cover the towns below regularly, and if you're just outside them, get in touch anyway — we're happy to travel for the right job.

Oswaldtwistle

Home base — Rhoden Top and the surrounding Hyndburn area.

Blackburn

Terraced streets and period roofs across the town and beyond.

Accrington

Victorian terraces and post-war estates throughout Hyndburn.

Burnley

From town-centre terraces out to the surrounding Pennine villages.

Preston

City housing estates through to the outlying villages.

Bolton

Greater Manchester's northern reaches, town centre to the outskirts.

Bury

Market-town streets and the surrounding residential estates.

Rochdale

Pennine-edge terraces and modern estates alike.

Wigan

Residential and light commercial roofing across the borough.

Manchester

City and suburban properties across Greater Manchester.

Questions

What people usually ask before booking

The short version of the questions we hear most. Head to the full FAQ page for everything else.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full new roof?

It depends on the age of the roof and how widespread the damage is. A localised issue — a few slipped tiles, a damaged section of flashing — is usually a straightforward repair. If there's granule loss, sagging or leaks appearing in multiple places, it's often more cost-effective to replace the roof outright. We'll always give you an honest recommendation, including telling you when a repair is the right call.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes — every quote is free and comes with no obligation. We'll assess the roof, talk through what it needs, and give you a clear, itemised price before any work is booked in.

What is a drone roof survey and why would I need one?

It's an inspection carried out using a drone fitted with a high-resolution camera, so we can examine every part of the roof — including hard-to-reach valleys and chimney stacks — without scaffolding or anyone climbing a ladder. It's useful if you're buying a property, making an insurance claim, or just want to know the condition of a roof you can't easily inspect yourself.

Do you work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester?

Yes, we cover Oswaldtwistle, Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Preston, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Wigan, Manchester and the surrounding areas. If you're just outside this list, get in touch — we're happy to travel for the right job.

Will my property be left clean and tidy?

Yes. We clear debris and old materials as we go and leave the site tidy at the end of each day, not just at the end of the job.

How quickly can you come out?

It depends on the job and time of year, but we aim to get back to every enquiry promptly. If you have an active leak, mention it when you contact us and we'll do our best to prioritise it.
